A master chef and master educator, Chef Larry de Vries has set the gold standard for culinary delights in Brandon. He was instrumental in forming the Brandon Chefs and Cooks Association and has plied his trade in a number of restaurants, never leaving patrons wanting more, but always bringing them back. He has served as a guest chef on television, competed successfully at the international level and has taught many aspiring chefs the tools and tricks of the trade. As chef instructor at Crocus Plains Regional Secondary School, Chef Larry touches both the minds and palates of his pupils, giving them a taste of this rewarding career. Seconds anyone?
Greg Sherris is a video production instructor in the Interactive Media Arts program at Assiniboine Community College. His specific areas of interest include live multi-camera production and post-production, and he enjoys working on a variety of single camera field production projects as well.
Sherris started his career working as an ENG camera operator at CKX-TV during his second year of Broadcast Arts at Assiniboine Community College. He worked as camera operator and editor at the Brandon station for four years, after which he worked as a freelance camera operator and production operator for regional and national broadcasters, and ran an independent production company prior to joining the faculty team at Assiniboine Community College, where has been teaching for the past 14 years.
Sherris remains active in production, directing and co-producing WHL hockey feeds for the Brandon Wheat Kings along with working for a few other select clients. He is dedicated to sharing his passion for production with the students of Interactive Media Arts and looks forward to the start of each and every school year.
