There are some 50,000 people in the city of Brandon — and each of them has a unique story to tell.
Who are they? How did they get here? What’s their job? What hobbies fill their off time? It’s impossible to ever tell everyone’s full story, but how about a taste?
Welcome to Patchworks.
For the past few years, we have chose people in the area that have made Brandon a more interesting place. We have given you a glimpse into their lives, what makes them tick and why they make our community so interesting and special.
These aren’t full-length documentaries, rather they are brief samples of our subjects — in their own words. Consider it an “app platter” instead of a meal. They’re tapas. Snacks. Hors d’oeuvres.
They’re perfect bite-sized videos: brief windows into the people who make Brandon great.
We’re excited to be bringing them to you. Our eclectic collection of filmmakers and the subjects they have chosen are listed in the sidebar. Below, you’ll find the most recent posts detailing the production process.
The Brandon Industry Group is producing the series in conjunction with MTS. They’ll debut later this year on the MTS “Stories From Home” on-demand channel. We’re a collective of like-minded creatives in Brandon, dedicated to local stories and local projects. Find out more about B.I.G. at indiebrandon.ca.
